Our families are a core reflection of our heart health - issues of our hearts. They are the foundation for every other real relationship we encounter. When this area of relationship is dysfunctional (short of the intervention of God) it will at some point impact all other relationships, and the way we view and interact with others. I encourage you that as you purpose to thrive in 2025 to be fully family focused – bridging all gaps by humbling yourself, renouncing all generational lies, recognizing and acknowledging sin and wrong, repenting and apologizing, releasing and receiving forgiveness, and rebuilding or building the family.

The word relationship is derived from the word relation (the connection between two or more people or things) and ship (verb form - to send goods by air, train, or road, or to be sent in this way). REAL Relationships, (according to the definition given to me by God), are the goods that are sent/deposited into another’s life as a result of the connection between them and another person or people. Let’s talk about the goods!!!

Will You Thrive or Survive In 2025? Part 1: Heart Health - Issues of the Heart

Just as a physical heart can become clogged/blocked by a buildup of plague - made up of fats, cholesterol, calcium, and cellular waste accumulated on the inner wall of the coronary arteries. This accumulation/build up narrows the arteries pathway to receive blood flow. The same is true of our spiritual & psychological heart - it can become clogged/blocked by a buildup of life’s problems. Over time, the accumulation of stress, disappointments, hurts, pains, failures, abuses, bitterness, and unforgiveness restrict and sometimes even block the redemptive, healing power of the blood flow of Jesus Christ in our lives. For us to thrive in 2025, we’re going to have to allow GOD to do corrective heart surgery.
